Job Description: At Regions, the Small Business Administration (SBA) Business Support Manager provides overarching support and continuity to a team of SBA Sales Support Specialists. This role primarily focuses on understanding team support and customer service activities while refining the SBA Sales Support Specialist role for consistency by partnering with SBA Sales and Operations to maximize contributions to the team and clients. This position will also manage overarching communication, training and development for the SBA Sales Support Specialist role. Primary Responsibilities Develops and implements consistent processes for the SBA Sales Support Specialist role Functions as an advocate and facilitator for SBA Sales Support issues that impact productivity or create customer service issues Performs management duties, exercising authority over staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, terminations Partners with Human Resources to develop recruiting guidelines (internal talent identification, external sourcing) and career-pathing Develops a strategy to level workload across remote population of SBA Sales Support Specialists Collaborates with Talent Acquisition to build out SBA component of Commercial Banking emerging talent program for recent college graduate hires Oversees marketing activities designed to support business development and keeps abreast of industry business development trends and best practices Maintains presence in geographies, targeted annual market visits to provide support/ performance feedback Partners with Learning and Development to ensure quality and impact of SBA Sales Support Specialist training Serves as a central point of communication on overarching issues Partners with compliance on regulatory changes and requirements Leads staff meetings and periodic training sessions Maintains currency with SBA Standard Operating Procedures, requirements, and changes This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. This is a single incumbent position. Requirements Bachelor's degree Five (5) years previous experience working with Commercial Relationship Managers or SBA Bankers, underwriters, loan fulfillment specialists, and clients Preferences Specialized training in title, real estate, government programs (SBA), and specialized lending programs Previous experience with SBA systems (ETran, SBA One, TSOFT) Skills and Competencies Demonstrated leadership and coaching ability Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of policies, products, services & systems Strong interpersonal skills Strong organizational and planning skills This position may be filled at a variety of locations within the Regions footprint.
