Microsoft's One Commercial Partner (OCP) organization plays a critical role in cloud growth by helping partners build solutions on Microsoft's cloud, acquire new cloud customers, and co-sell with Microsoft sales teams. The role of the Business Manager (BM) is to work closely with the Vice President of Channel Sales and the extended team members and stakeholders to ensure the efficient operations of the Channel Sales organization. The US One Commercial Partner (OCP) Channel Sales team is aligned to our field Operating Units (OU's) across Public Sector, Enterprise Commercial and Small Mid-Market Corporate & Digital Sales. The Channel Sales team drives and executes the channel co-selling strategy with our partners to maximize revenue, drive consumption & usage of Microsoft cloud services. The BM will support the ongoing transformation we are executing with our Partner and Field Integration framework across the US sub. The Business Manager function will lead activities in all aspects of strategy development, people governance, compliance, internal communications, and scorecard management. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills due to cross-group coordination, volume of demands and the high-impact work on short deadlines. To be successful, the candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively and interface with internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications and Skills: Seasoned business professional with multi-disciplinary experience - Senior sales leader or sales management experience preferred. Demonstrated excellent organizational, analytical, problem resolution and decision-making skills Superior judgment, team building, budgeting, presentation skills, and the ability to work under deadline pressure Strong oral and written communication skills, including slide concept creation, requirements documents and presentation-building Strong networking and interpersonal skills with ability to build positive working relationships across senior leadership teams The ability to work effectively in a loosely structured team environment that demands a high degree of cooperation, flexibility, teaming, cross group, and real-time responsiveness Strong project management and negotiation skills while working within established business priorities and constraints Experience across Enterprise and Corporate segments and partner businesses a plus Minimum 10 -12 years of business relevant experience An undergraduate B.A. or B.S. degree is required. Key Accountabilities include: Take a proactive role in running the office of VP and ensure we are adequately prepared and meeting the demands of all key stakeholders and the needs of our organization. Drive all aspects of team communications Plan and prepare content for speeches/communications e.g. All-Hands, LT meetings, Cross-groups presentations, Partner Meetings, Key Notes, Videos, Conferences, etc. Lead and own the agendas for the following: Leadership Meetings, All Hands and Leadership Strategy off-sites. Lead and organize US OCP Channel Sales team participation in all Reviews including cross segmentUS and WW QBRs Act as a trusted advisor with the VP as working through strategies Strong networking and interpersonal skills with ability to build positive working relationships across senior leadership teams Co-lead efforts to assure high employee morale, strong Work Group Health (WHI) and positive work environment Increase executives' capacity by aligning the VP and leadership team to the right customer and partner engagements, resulting in increased sales. Organize resources for preparing and summarizing info to the leader Plan and coordinate Executive Visits, as well as customer and partner sponsor meetings and follow up Execute rhythm of the business and ensure we are executing with excellence & organize all the notes / actions / outcomes with appropriate follow-up. Manage Operational Expenses and Headcount budgets working closely with Finance, to make investment recommendations to the LT and track progress. Owning and leading successful implementation and delivery of the people plan, holding LT and v-teams accountable for meeting expectations set throughout the year Drive high-impact cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment and ensure the team is achieving commitments. Successful project management on strategic efforts that require hands-on experience across multiple functional disciplines. Be the "objective voice of reason" for the VP and Leadership team and enable the individual leaders to consider and drive the bigger picture in addition to individual team priorities Collaborate across broader Microsoft communities and connections with peers across the company. Develop and execute plans to ensure stakeholders are kept abreast of our organization's role, work progress, future, risks, and mitigations strategies.
