Southwire Job Description


Principal Objective:
Increase sales through the building of relationships with key accounts in the Renewables segment (Wind, Solar, Energy Storage, BESS, Hydrogen, etc.) Responsibilities include direct interaction with Renewable EPC, OEMs, and Contractors, as well as the management of inside account managers to achieve the following: increase sales in existing products (Al PV, Cu PV, MV CN) and development of new products for OEM and EPC accounts.

*Increase sales through the building of relationships and product development
*EPC/OEM Sales Calls and Follow up - Direct and Joint meetings with Agents/Distribution
*Conduct seminars and training - End User and Engineering sales calls to drive spec position
*Provide leadership to the customer service representatives and direction to the support groups within Product management, Engineering, Marketing and Logistics.
*Drive growth in the Renewables segment following Director's direction and strategy.
*Find avenues of revenue that are untouched or at their infancy in the market vertical.
*Must be able to work in a team atmosphere and communicate across business units to provide a ONE Southwire strategy.

Externally:EPC procurement and engineering, Contractors, OEMs, SW representative agencies, Distribution

Desirable Qualifications:
College degree or equivalent in field and/or product experience is necessary. Five to seven years of experience in Sales and/or Customer Service is essential. Previous work in related products, distribution is helpful. Must posses a "self-starter" attitude and an ability to take on added responsibility when the job requires. Prior experience selling to the EPCs and OEMs and knowledge of renewable wire and cable products as well as skilled in managing inside resources is a plus.

Working Knowledge:
Must have strong PC skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Location:Remote office work with extensive in-person meetings with customers at their location of choice

Physical Demands:
Travel will be necessary (especially in first 1-2 years to develop relationships), approximately 35% by automobile and air. Must be able to visit job sites, EPC, OEMs etc.
