Full description of the position
Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving three primary markets - passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment - Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.
The Sales Segment Lead for Material Handling has responsibility to define and execute sales growth strategy, grow strategic relationships with Key & Trend Setter customers and manage/develop the product portfolio in collaboration with product planning. In this joint role you will work closely with the key Dana functions to identify opportunities, formulate a strategic direction for future product development and assure profitable revenue growth in the region and for the assigned platform.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Platform lead)
Developing & implementing successful global strategies which drive value & top line growth
Establishes strategic plan to maximize company sales and profitability
Coordinate strategy between regions / major OEMs.
Management (feedback/sustainment/adjustment) of the long-term strategy related to platform sales
Manages & grows relationships with Global Key Account Customers in the platform in collaboration with the Region and Global Account Manager and manage/resolve issues and at times run regional accounts
Develop strong relationships with key platform customers at the senior level responsible for the OEM's application platforms and strategic roadmaps to align with Dana's platform and product strategy
Participate on calls with Cargotec, Kone, Hyster, Sany, Taylor, Jungheinrich, Kion, BYD, etc. map cust. strategy with platform strategy
Direct the development of regional sales strategies with input from global stakeholders
Increase sales volumes, market share and profit by identifying, communicating, and driving value added products, procedures or actions
Collaborate with Product Planning to develop and implement product line strategies that meet current and future market needs and achieve profitability and growth objectives.
Class 2 and 3 solutions development in line with OH Sales Strategy
Lead internal Dana teams (to include Purchasing, Engineering, and others) to achieve 'Segment' objectives
Maintain current knowledge of competitor's activity and significant changes
Update quarterly business/Platform outlook. Provide Annual Forecasts and long-range plans
Maintain with regional leads a pipeline of strategic opportunities to drive top line growth
Participate in targeted associations and tradeshows to ensure proper voice of market is understood

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Higher level education to degree or equivalent - MBA preferred
10+ years relative technical experience in Key Account Management and/or business development.
Prior customer experience with Global Key Accounts in OH preferred.
Experience and knowledge of the Off-Highway industry, customers, platforms, processes.
Broad base product knowledge of Dana products and applications.
Travel
As and when required - circa 35%-40% mobile/55-60% office
