Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Complete in-house training (production training and inside sales training).

Sell conveyor belting and industrial rubber products at customers' places of business.

Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to develop business.

Display and/or demonstrate product using samples or catalogs.

Prepare surveys of customers' equipment and product needs.

Quote prices and prepare sales contracts for business obtained.

Work with inside sales representatives and other support staff to keep account activities up-to-date.

Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from a variety of sources.

Provide date of delivery estimates to customer.

Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries.

Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.

Responsible for all customer-related tasks (not specifically assigned to the production manager, office manager, inside sales or branch manager).

Responsible for timely submission of necessary information for National Account reporting purposes.

Must be able to relocate after training period. MIR provides a relocation allowance. Relocation depends on current job openings at that time.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.

Valid driver's license.

Professional verbal and written communication skills - must have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, coworkers, customers, and vendors.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must be able to lift heavy-weight materials over 75 pounds (primarily during initial training).

Occasional bending, stooping, upper body & arm rotation; frequent pushing, pulling, sitting, standing, reaching, and some climbing may take place (primarily during initial training).
