DME is looking for a Technical Sales & Service Rep for our hot runner products. The Technical Sales Rep for hot runners will work as part of the sales and support team for hot runner systems, hot runner temperature and valve gate control systems and the Cooling Care and FlowSense product lines. In this position, the Technical Sales Rep will provide direction, recommendations, and suggestions to support customer sales inquiries, start-up, repairs and maintenance of hot runner system and related products noted above. The Technical Sales Rep is responsible for maintaining customer requirements and services to continue to facilitate business and product growth. The Technical Sales Rep will prepare new system requirements, reports, respond to customers, and ensure fruitful customer relationships. This position requires hot runner system knowledge and experience, computer skills (basic CAD a plus) technical aptitude, and manual dexterity. This position requires the ability to read mechanical drawings as well as instructions represented in manuals and execute required procedures. This position exists in a temperature-controlled environment.

Essential/Key Functions:



Read and comprehend mechanical drawings and instructions and follow established procedures

Correspond with customers daily via telephone, email, virtual meetings and occasional on-site visits

Support customer of technical sales inquiries, system installation and start-up, repairs and needs

Facilitate resolution of customer issues and resolve within customer specified needs in mind

Maintains knowledge of industry trends affecting the company's product offering and sales

Participates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities.

Prepares reports as needed

Performs in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions.

Responsible for meeting team targets and key performance indicators

Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team.

Advises dealers, distributors and customers concerning sales, service and repair techniques.

Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships

Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units

Prepares periodic report

Travel is required- up to 75%

Follow all safety guidelines and operate in a safe manner

Physical presence on the job is essential and necessary including weekends and holidays when critical customer needs require so

Other duties as assigned by management




Education and Experience

Must have knowledge and experience with hot runner distribution systems

Technical degree desired

Mechanical/technical aptitude required

Strong computer and communications skills a must
