Full description of the position
Major Duties
Classification: Exempt, Non-Bargaining
This position may be located in Portland ME; Lewiston ME; Rockland ME; Bangor ME.
Fidium is rapidly deploying world-class fiber internet service across its 23-state footprint. On our team, you will be a part of this exciting time in the history of our company as well as the regions that we serve. The direct sales supervisor will serve as the key sales and relationship leader for single family, residential sales for their territory. In this role, you'll be responsible for devising and implementing a strategy for approaching the single family, residential market in your assigned territory. You'll manage a team of direct sales representatives, vendors and contractors to address the opportunity in your market, determining the ideal staffing approach for each scenario. You'll use your local knowledge and skill to determine the best partnerships, events, and local relationships important for Fidium's success in your local market. From a sales perspective, you thrive in meeting and exceeding key sales metrics as well as delivering on key elements of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process. As the voice of the direct sales team for your market, you'll work collaboratively with our construction and engineering teams to determine when communities and neighborhoods will be ready for sale. You'll bridge the gap between Fidium and local neighborhood and community leaders to assess the best opportunities to inform their communities of our service offerings. You're a natural leader and see both the opportunity to coach your sales team as well as lead by example in the field. You'll also serve as a single family/direct sales expert in cross-functional conversations with internal marketing, public relations, IT, and product teams.

Responsibilities
Devise and execute the direct sales go-to-market approach from pipeline development through end user acquisition.
Manage a direct sales team of full time, contracted, and vendor staff to meet and exceed territory targets.
Own the direct sales target for your region, communicating progress to cross-functional partners and executives on a weekly basis.
Execute a wide a wide range of tactics including door-to-door, events, pop-ups, etc. to increase sales penetration throughout your portfolio.
Own relationships and communicate the benefits of the Fidium fiber offering with key market/industry influencers and prospective customers.
Work cross-functionally with marketing, PR, IT, construction and engineering to deliver the best customer experience from construction through service.
Intra-market travel, ~10%, as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience plus 4 years' related experience
Experience in quota based sales environment, door to door sales preferred
2 years in supervisory experience
