Wholesale Sales Director.
Salary: $100K- $150K per year will depend on experience, plus bonus and benefits (listed below).

You will be instrumental in taking our wholesale channel to the next level, so this is a huge opportunity to make your mark on the growth of the company. The Sales Director of Wholesale is responsible for achieving sales objectives and targets globally while overseeing all functions of wholesale distribution.
As Sales Director of Wholesale, You Will:
Create a strategic and aggressive sales plan focused on expanding the retail/wholesale distribution by:
- Pipelining target customers by channel and expanding our distribution domestically.
- Carefully measuring current door performance and finding ways to increase AOV and overall account value to the company.
- Align your Territory Sales Managers to the plan and ensure execution in the field.
- Build relationships within national and independent accounts across all departments to secure diverse business opportunities opening the right accounts in a timely manner.
- Submit accurate sales forecasts within defined timelines.
- Work effectively with customer service, marketing, and operations departments as needed to swiftly and efficiently build out optimal programs across the business.
- Manage necessary expenses within budget.
- Represent the company at sales meetings, training programs, and trade shows.
Who You Are:
- You are a highly motivated & self-driven sales professional with excellent communication skills.
- You would describe yourself as business savvy with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and you love to take initiative.
- You can quickly engage with customers and build relationships with retailers from an independent store owner all the way to a buying team with a national retailer.
- You pride yourself on your selling skills and you continue to invest in your own development and growth as a professional.
- You have experience in leading a national team of sales professionals and a proven track record of getting results: hitting your goals.
- Ideally, you bring existing relationships in the wholesale space which will enable you to quickly add value in terms of expanding our dealer base.
Here are a few other things we will need you to have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing sales professionals and wholesale specialty/key/national accounts in the consumer products space.
- Be well-versed in wholesale terminology and dynamics.
- A clear understanding of retail POP programs. What they are and how to make them effective for the brand and the wholesale customer.
- Experience with designing sales compensation programs for reps and wholesale accounts that are motivating and in line with the needs of the business to achieve growth.
- A passion for sustainability and a personal desire to help end the ocean plastic crisis.
- Strong knowledge of the retail/wholesale channel.
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or relevant experience.
- Proven track record delivering on defined sales objectives, building a revenue plan, and hitting it.
- Experience developing, and working within, a successful sales methodology and processes.
- You know how to build motivating and realistic sales forecasts by using sound logic and methodology.
- Self-starter, self-motivated with strong time management skills.
- Competitive, confident, and growth-oriented.
- Willingness to travel 50 - 75% of the time on the road to customers.
- Recent and demonstrable experience opening and managing national accounts (know their terminology, buy windows/cycles, and other business nuances).
- Successful track record of driving short and long-term plans for meaningful revenue growth.
- Ability to champion account needs cross-functionally and vertically within an organization.
