Budget Blinds Central Portland
Budget Blinds Central Portland is a local family-owned and operated franchisee of the largest provider of custom window coverings in the US and Canada. We are looking for a motivated Design Consultant to join our team. We provide residential and commercial custom window treatments that range from basic blinds to motorized shades that interact with automation systems to custom-designed drapery and shutters. We are looking for an incredible person who will fit our team and culture. We are seeking an individual that is driven to succeed financially and professionally.

Have you ever been an outside sales consultant for Home Decor business or the remodel trades? Worked for Ethan Allen, Pottery Barn, West Elm, an Interior Design firm? Have you sold flooring, lighting, or cabinets? If you say yes- we want you!!

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Have you ever been an outside sales consultant for Home Decor business or the remodel trades? Worked for Ethan Allen, Pottery Barn, West Elm, an Interior Design firm? Have you sold flooring, lighting, or cabinets? If you say yes- we want you!!

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide 3 in-home design consultations per day.
- Offer exceptional customer service expert design advice.
- Place orders for all products with a small error margin.
- Keep a record of all sales communications.
- Respond to emails and phone calls promptly.
- Follow up on all leads and pending sales.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings and annual training.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of sales experience required.
- Degree in interior design is strongly preferred.
- Experience with window coverings including drapery strongly preferred.
- Written correspondence using sophisticated language.
- Extremely proficient in MS Office.
- Experience with a CRM is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience with invoicing and taking payments is strongly preferred.
- Honest, Respectful and Service-Oriented absolutely required.
- Good humor.
WHAT WE PROVIDE:
- Full-time work. Possible evening and weekend hours.
- Commission-based compensation with a base salary guarantee. $60,000 is the expected target for the first year after the initial training period. Our top designers make $100,000+.
