Energy Sales Representative in Cheverly, MD
As a Residential Equipment Sales Specialist, you will generate and close leads. You will be working directly with the customer so strong interpersonal and customer service skills are a must. Above all, you will use your communication and active listening skills to provide exceptional service and sell HVAC systems.
In this role, networking is key, specific responsibilities include:
- Analyze HVAC system situations and determine customer's/prospect's requirements
- Prepare and deliver in-home sales presentations
- Update Home Equipment Surveys
- Adhere to credit policies for customers and non-customers
- Diagram layout and design of HVAC systems
- Utilize Salesforce as both a lead tracking tool as well as sales proposal format
- Prepare installation/terms documentation; Complete equipment materials list
- Prepare sales contract, obtain signature, secure down payment and submit to the Installation Department in a timely manner
- Resolve problems with customer, if necessary, raised by Installation Manager after contract review
- Make follow-up thank you calls to clients to confirm a quality installation experience and solicit potential referrals
- Market other services (such as oil and propane delivery)
- Attend company and manufacturer training programs as well as monthly service meetings
- Achieve sales objectives as set forth by the company for the assigned area through company leads and self-generated leads, as is required.
- Keep abreast of technological developments impacting the industry
Requirements:
HVAC experience is highly recommended. A high school diploma is required. Proven sales experience is preferred, including experience in estimating and composing all paperwork and documents required to sell the products and facilitate the efficient and profitable installation.
Also Required:
- Basic computer skills
- Experience with Windows technology
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license
- Basic automobile insurance
