The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive internal and external marketing plan that would increase revenues and profit. Also, is responsible for planning and implementing sales/marketing development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets/clients.
Ideal candidates will have prior sales experience and 3+ years’ experience with B2B Customer Development, ideally in the Commercial Construction field.
Essential Functions:
- Outside Sales (B2B) & Business Development - growing the customer base by securing new customers. Present and sell company construction services to current and potential clients
- Implements the recommendations of the strategic marketing plan.
- Leveraging existing customer relationships to grow business
- Networking and establishing a strong industry presence
- Increasing customer retention; providing customer support
- Use various sources to help find customers that fit the company's strengths
- Create potential client list and seek new work by researching potential clients and industries
- Work with the internal team to evaluate marketing to subcontractors for work to be performed, including seeking out new subcontractors to partner with in new and existing territories
- Review preliminary requests for proposals with the Director of Facility Management and/or Construction VP
- Partner with Facility Maintenance Team for assistance with future work load plans and any customer satisfaction opportunities
- Attend or conduct site visit walkthroughs with client as needed to build relationship
- Attend pre-construction, and punch list meetings when appropriate
- Monitors external and internal environment for development of new market segments.
- Develops brochures or other print or electronic ads to market corporate services.
- Assists in planning of any event that highlights corporate services.
- Optimize the company’s participation in relevant trade groups and associations.
- Assists in developing an evaluation process to gain feedback from constituents.
- Performs public speaking regarding public relations, marketing and business development.
- Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
- Participate in the RFP and onboarding process
- Manage Online and Social Media presence in partnership with Director and Owner
- Attends trade shows and conventions to acquire customers.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
- Previous outside sales/business development experience
- Strong Social Media Acumen
- Valid Driver's License, Required
