Overview Laboratory & Diagnostic Sales
Diagnostic Laboratory sales positions include a vast array of services and products. Sales of laboratory services and laboratory testing continue to grow, as well as the sales of testing equipment, reagents and general laboratory supplies.
While medical sales jobs can often be difficult, the role of a laboratory sales consultant is even more extensive. A sales representative selling to the laboratory must have knowledge of laboratory tests in order to sell to this type of client. Specialized biotechnology products, molecular based or other diagnostic testing equipment are certainly products that require a science background for selling.
We are looking for highly motivated, priority driven individuals with experience in calling on physicians and relationships with providers. Call upon clinicians involved with:
Blood/Wellness, Women's Health, Respiratory Pathogen Panels, Urine Drug Screens, UTI, STD/STI, GI, Wound, CGx, PGx, COVID
We also work with physicians with Stem Cell Treatments and Pharmaceutical opportunities.
Main points of call are:
Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Primary Care, Urgent Care, Pain Management, Pediatric, Mental/Behavioral Health, Urology, Endocrinology, OB/Gyn, Senior Nursing, Assisted Living Facilities, Telemedicine, Oncology, Dermatology
Qualifications
- Must have experience in healthcare, laboratory, and/or diagnostics sales selling to medical professionals.
- Three or more years of calling on provider groups (Integrated Delivery Networks, Physician Group Practices, Clinics) and C-level decision-makers in the healthcare industry.
- Driver's License (Required).
- Bachelor's Degree (Required).
Responsibilities
- Marketing laboratory testing services to both new and existing customers.
- Sell clinical laboratory testing through the promotion of services to authorized health care professionals in a consistent and compliant manner.
- Identify potential business sites which have a need for COVID testing.
- Train and interact with a health care professionals and staff about lab tests, billing policies, and procedures
- Actively pre-call appointments and utilize lead generation with required per month site visits to maintain sales goals.
- Maintain CRM of all calls and sale pipeline.
- Always maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA-compliant rules.
- Act as a self-starter to foster territory growth and drive sales through up-selling of existing accounts.
- Maintain and pursue knowledge in the associated specialist testing areas and incorporate knowledge of service offerings.
- Performing responsive ongoing in-person and telephonic customer service required to maintain Labs Clients.
- Participating in and complying fully with the Labs Compliance Program.
- Analyze sales statistics to identify areas of improvement.
- Track results and trends regularly for business forecasting.
- Develop and execute innovative sales strategies.
- Build and form new partnerships with potential clients.
- Conduct client needs assessment: Conduct a formal review of each client s needs in the areas of problems and opportunities.
- The review consists of an in-depth face-to-face meeting where rapport building begins, and knowledge of the business and its needs are gained.
- Develop new leads every month: Using cold calling, networking, and referrals, develop new solid prospects per week to be added to your territory.
- It is expected that the Specialist will continually visit accounts in assigned territory.
- If Rep is more comfortable working outside of a territory, it will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
- Face-to-Face Meetings: It is expected the Specialist will make a minimum of 5 face-to-face meetings per week via pre-set appointments.
- Provide customer service: Conduct ongoing programs with existing customers consisting of new business opportunities and collections
- Formal updates through company CRM are expected on a weekly basis regarding the status of all accounts and leads.
- Updates consist of information regarding appointments, presentations, and projections.
- Evaluations will be conducted as needed, specifically focused in the areas of prospecting, presentations, closing, paperwork, follow-up/teamwork.
Bachelor's degree required: BA or BS preferred

Pay: $52,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
