This position is for a full time Account Executive responsible for sales and business development efforts for the Network and Data Center Services in a business park located in Arlington, Virginia area.
Essential Functions:
1. Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability. Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets. Work with the leadership team to develop co-sell plans on advanced services. Support and provide leadership in quoting and RFP generation and response processes.
2. Accurately forecast future sales, perform trend analysis, and form sales plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace. Form sales strategies to stay competitive and innovative. Lead operational efforts to generate complex quotes and request for proposals, and interactions with customers and partners. Provide timely, accurate, and competitive pricing on all proposal applications while striving for maximum margins.
3. Create sales proposals and represent the company industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions. Manage special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· 3+ years of experience in telecommunications and/or IT sales experience.
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
· Demonstrated track record of proven success within past sales roles.
· Comfortable working with C level executives at Fortune 500 companies and building necessary business relationships throughout the organization.
· Strong analytical and math skills.
· Ability to translate analytics into business presentations and proposals.
· Development and maintenance of current market data and trends used to accurately forecast sales predictions and shifts in the marketplace for the individual areas under his or her charge.
· Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.
· Advanced knowledge and use of sales forecasting and CRM databases, along with related reporting
· Above average ability to communicate ideas and strategies.
· Above average ability to prioritize simultaneous requests for attention, and flexible working with an ever-changing list of priorities.
· Unique ability to build lasting relationships.
· Ability to provide unsurpassed customer service.
· Professional, articulate, and comfortable with building positive working relationships with co-workers and high-level executive customers.
