Full description of the position

IKA Works, Inc. is looking for a Distribution Sales Manager - US to join our Laboratory and Analytical division.

SUMMARY:

Responsible for increasing sales of laboratory and analytical equipment to Distribution Partners in US. Develop and Maintain relationships with all partners within these territories. Provide pricing, product information, training and promotions to support these distributors in their sales efforts of the IKA portfolio. Hold Quarterly business reviews with the Key distributors we work with.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist Sales Director in generating annual sales plan for the Laboratory and Ana Division for Distribution accounts in the US.
  • Implement the sales plan throughout the year.
  • Provide clear communication on new product launches, back-orders and product quality issues as needed.
  • Train new Distributors and their Sales Representatives upon on boarding.
  • Coordinate direct mailings to current distributors when required.
  • Generate quotes, follow-up phone calls and on-site visits when necessary.
  • Maintain positive relations with IKA distribution network.
  • Provide distributor trainings for existing and new products as appropriate.
  • Pricing : maintain distributor price files and manage communication of price changes as needed.
  • Assist distributors to coordinate with IWW marketing to provide adequate marketing collateral as required.
  • Host Teams, web-ex, zoom, vidyo updates and training sessions as needed.
  • Answer technical questions and act as point of contact for distributors.
  • Travel to distributor trade shows as well as with Distributor Representatives.
  • Provide technical assistance over the phone.
  • Ensure flow of information from Sales Manager to others in the Laboratory Sales Division and information to and from Lab Sales Group.

QUALIFICATIONS:

B.S. or Associates Degree in Chemistry related majors or technical field. Three to five years prior sales experience with successful history in Sales or relevant prior business experience.
