Job Description:
The Investment Sales, Consumer Lead is a strategic sales professional who has excellent technical knowledge across the Investments product spectrum including: Traditional Portfolio Management, Managed Money- SMAs, MFs, Capital Markets and Alternatives. Stays abreast of global markets as well as strong understanding CIO strategy. Requires basic commercial awareness. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Ability to present effectively to both small and large audiences. As needed provide advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage CIO, product specialist and own personal markets expertise to promote both short- and long-term investment opportunities to assigned Consumer Wealth Region.
- Client base consists of: Consumer Financial Advisors, Consumer ICs, clients and prospects.
- Provide surveillance of emerging macroeconomic and political developments across assigned region
- Travel within assigned region as necessary/required
- Investment opportunities/Product depth across: CIM, Alts, Structured Products, SMAs, Mutual Funds and traditional capital markets products.
- Represent the team's global macroeconomic views in client meetings throughout the region and should be able to express these views in a clear and concise manner.
- Define and present to the sales force Citi Wealth’s Regional Views in consultation with Citi Research regional analysts and local markets units.
- Provide Regional feedback regularly to: Head of Consumer Sales, Regional and market Heads, Products Specialist Partners
- Work with the Investments Lab to identify asset allocation Gaps and with product specialist to define strategies to close such gaps.
- Lead the regional discussion of implementation strategies and action plans for assigned coverage
- Participate actively in region's Sales and Research Calls
- Coordinate successful rollout of Citi Wealth Outlooks, Playbooks and other campaigns
- Work closely with the RIH, IC Team Leaders and Product Heads helping them understand and implement the firm's Market Views.
- Participate in Sales Calls with Clients and Prospects
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experience
- Excellent markets acumen, strong quantitative skills, written and presentation skills; Ability to work in both a team and individual creative setting.
- US Only: Securities Industry Exam, S7 & S66 required; NOTE: Securities Industry Exam (SIE is a prerequisite to the S7)
Job Location: West Coast- Los Angeles Area, San Francisco maybe considered
Education: Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
