Advertised Position Title
Director, Business and Program Development

Job Description Summary
Develops strategy for strengthening the region’s workforce through innovative, effective training initiatives. Identifies trends in workforce needs through immersive communication with area business, economic development leaders and colleagues in training and education. Implements training employers rely on. Uses knowledge of the community’s organizations to build partnerships that leverage College resources and optimize training. Tailors training to serve the distinct workforce segments. Recruits and supports outstanding trainers. Assembles training solutions utilizing best practices for financial sustainability. Supports account representative efforts to cultivate business and raise awareness of the College’s workforce training services. Works with the College’s Departments to develop and implement continuing education courses designed for specific occupations.

Knowledge
Advanced knowledge of programming and curriculum design. Advanced knowledge of sales and marketing, management principles and practices, general business environment training principles, occupational and professional assessment tools, and relationship building.

Skills
Computer literacy, people skills, friendly and people-oriented. Skilled in oral and written communications at the executive and employee level.

Abilities
Ability to prioritize and organize information to be presented to adult learners. Strong verbal presentation and listening abilities. Ability to adjust presentations quickly based on client needs. Ability to mange multiple programmers.
