Department Overview
The Military Engines Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) team located in West Palm Beach, FL, has an immediate opening for an ambitious and engaging Military Aftermarket Customer Sales Representative. Customer Sales Representatives are primarily responsible for the management of proposals, orders, and multiple customer agreements supporting aftermarket customers. The key function in this role is to support aftermarket spare part sales through various SAP transactions and reports. Strong analytical skills, ability to learn new systems quickly, capability to prioritize daily tasks, and ability to work independently under pressure on multiple projects are all critical to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Interface with external customers to intake quotation requests and orders. Communicate order and quote status, delivery estimates, and critical issues to your customers.
- Ensure all customer requests are addressed in a timely manner
- Communicate your customer’s critical pacing material to internal organizations to drive contract recovery
- Collaborate with supply chain on part delivery commitments
- Ensure supply chain order coverage for your customer’s requirements
- You must be a self-starter and can manage multiple priorities
- Your role will include tactical activities in SAP such as Quote Management, Order Entry, and Delivery Assurance
- Create and present metrics and supporting reports to customers, peers, and managers
- Work cross functionally with Engineering, Quality, Finance, Accounts Payable and Program Management along with other key functional groups to ensure program needs are met
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree is required with a preference for business-related fields of study.
- US Citizenship is required due to government contracts
- Fluent in English (verbal/written)
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written), work and relate with people at all levels of the organization and be self-sufficient
- Experience working with Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
- Excellent team player with high work ethic
- Excellent recordkeeping skills and a high degree of organization
- The candidate must possess the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and priorities in a remote environment
- Basic understanding of SAP or equivalent ERP system
- Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes and/or software
- The ability to interface with multiple levels of management in a team environment with effective communication skills.
- Motivated and takes on challenges with minimal direction, with the ability to be proactive and drive action accordingly
- Ability to set and work towards goals at a “big picture” level, and influence change at a detailed operational level
- This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
