Job Summary:

Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a defense industry professional to coordinate business development activities and create new opportunities to drive top line growth for the Naval Power (NP), Naval Air Missile product line. This person will lead business development efforts for AIM-9X Missile across domestic naval and air force air to air programs, while developing and growing an international core market segment with additional market adjacency segments, such as surface launch. In this role, you will deliver new business solutions to customers by leveraging Raytheon solutions and capabilities.

This position is based in Tucson, AZ, offering a hybrid work arrangement and will require some international and domestic travel.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Execute business development strategy, aligned with program roadmaps, to meet growth targets.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute a prioritized plan of action and milestones that focuses on closing pursuits inside of the current Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and the Long-Range Plan.
  • Collaborate internally and with our partners to plan, develop and execute capture strategies for domestic and international new business pursuits.
  • Coordinate and manage program associated New Business Investment accounts, capture and proposal gate reviews, new business assessment and pipeline reviews, international reps and consultants, and customer engagements.
  • Provide professional and technical expertise to the business development team, RMD, and our global customers.
  • Ability for business travel of approximately 30% Domestic & 20% International

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
  • Experience in business development, product management, program management or operations management
  • Experience in warfare operations, platforms, command and control (C2) systems or similar
  • An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

  • Experience presenting and communicating with customers and senior leadership
  • Ability to be creative, innovative, take initiative, and act with speed and agility for advantage
  • Relevant government and/or industry experience with an established network across government to include services; USN, USAF and USA - acquisition and requirement development directorates
  • Good understanding of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) acquisition processes
  • Understanding of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations
  • Familiarity with the business development process, investment funding process and international strategic assessment
  • Familiarity with services – USN, USAF requirements generation, resource sponsor, or program management experience
  • USN Top Gun or USAF Weapons School with superb briefing and debriefing skills desired
  • Previous experience with international business teaming agreements or partnerships
  • Previous business development experience with industry
  • Certified Program Manager
  • Certified Capture Manager
  • Requires deep management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across multiple related departments.
  • An active and in-scope Top Secret US security clearance or ability to obtain
