Full description of the position

Minimum 3 years’ experience in Commercial Construction

Cornerstone Recruiting is currently seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to fill an opening with a large, self-performing commercial contractor located in Washington, DC. The ideal candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction services sales role. The position will mostly be On the road" with minimal time in-office.

Requirements of the Outside Sales Representative

● MINIMUM of 3 years’ work experience in an outside sales or business development role within the construction industry

● Valid Driver’s License

● Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

● A successful track-record of working with large, commercial General Contractors in the DC-MD-VA markets

● A proven ability to prospect and obtain new client relationships in addition to strengthening relationships with existing clients

Responsibilities of the Outside Sales Representative

● Become an expert in company product/services and job pricing

● Respond to requests for estimates from new and existing clients in a timely manner via call/email and onsite visits

● Stay knowledgeable and up to date with new construction in assigned territory; prospect potential opportunities and cold call to obtain RFP

● Effectively listen to client needs and project requirements to suggest appropriate product/service

● Communicate with Production and Project Management team to appropriately schedule manpower and materials

● Liaison with project contacts while on-site to ensure on-time and correct material deliveries

● Monitor project progress to ensure client satisfaction and adherence to project proposal

● Ensure all projects are completed according to plans and specs. Document project progress via photos

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
