The Copyeditor | Proofreader is designed to find suitable candidates with the ability to edit documents and deliverables for a cybersecurity-related organization.

Job Summary: Helping organizations achieve their communications goals by editing documents with excellent command of grammar and the use of the English language. The Copyeditor | Proofreader is designed to find suitable candidates with the ability to edit documents and deliverables for a cybersecurity-related organization.
Required Skills:
- Active/Current Secret Security Clearance.
- A high school diploma with 3+ years of experience editing/proofreading.
- U.S. Citizenship required (required by the federal government for the position).
Desired Skills:
- Excellent writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
- Experience reviewing and editing work products written by other team members.
- Experience creating and maintaining presentations for a wide range of audiences.
- Mastery of English grammar and sentence syntax.
- Exceptional attention to detail and an eye for formatting inconsistencies.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office products, including Word and PowerPoint.
- The ability to work independently under minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service orientation with strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Experience in or working with the federal government sector.
- Experience supporting DHS programs or initiatives.
- The ability to apply knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, policies, and procedures is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with product owners and team leads to decompose large epics into manageable user stories- Manage backlog, roadmap, priorities and engage product and stake holder team to move towards a common vision
- Conduct testing such as functional testing, user acceptance testing and pre and post deployment testing
- Ability to decompose complex topics and experience to explain them using white boards
- Builds trust and respect, establish relationships, and develop rapport with technical and non-technical team members
Required Skills:
2+ years’ experience in IT or related industry- Strong experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage team members, clients, and stakeholders
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and UIUX principles
- Experience working independently to deliver results
- Experience applying various techniques to elicit requirements, create a shared understanding, and provide meaningful acceptance criteria to the team
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- Strong knowledge of office productivity tools Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation
- Strong analytical aptitude, and an ability to structure complex or undefined business problems
- Prior consulting and client management experience is a plus
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated ability to build trusted advisor relationships with clients- Experience supporting sales and business development
- Experience with financial management
