Summary:

Provides excellent service to all members and guests. Greet and serve all members and their guests professionally and pleasantly while assisting with retail purchases. Responsible for the overall appearance of the shop.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following;

• Greets all members and their guests upon entering the Resort and Tennis Shoppe with a polite, professio,nal and welcoming attitude. Ensure all members and their guests are handled courteously and treated with respect at all times.
• Promote sales by having a complete understanding (size,, colobackstock stock) of all the available merchandise.
• Responsible for following up on special orders placed for members.
• Daily maintain the appearance of the shop and all displays.
• Every week change the appearance of all display mannequins.
• Restocks merchandise daily in a neat and organized manner.
• Keeps the Resort and Tennis Shoppe andneatly and cleanlyneat and clean manner.
• Responsible for maintaining a member file noting their favorite vendors and then calling them when new merchandise arrives.
• Restock all gift box,es, gift bags, plastic bags and ribbons.
• Inform the Director of Retail of low inventory levels needed to be reordered.
• Assists with inventory control by properly checking in and tagging merchandise from UPS and Federal Express.
• If the Tennis and Pickleball Desk Associates are busy, answer the telephone timely and provide ataketinent information.s well as taking detailed messages..
• Communicat,es with members, co-workcourteously and professionally in a courteous and professional manner.
• Conforms with and abides by ,all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
• Exhibits and maintains a professional demeanor to reflect a positive image of The Polo Club.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Retail.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must have strong customer service skills.
• Must have retail sales experience.
• Must have strong telephone skills.
• Ability to verbally communicate well in lish and in writing.
• Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
• Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with sup,eriors, co-workers and members.
• Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to communicate well in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively on a one-on-one basis with members and guests.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
