Now Hiring - Hotel Director of Sales in Lake Charles, LA

We are looking for a high-performing Director of Sales with a proven track record of success. The successful candidate will meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. Sales director responsibilities include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve your financial targets. Sales director duties will include hitting annual targets, building relationships and understanding customer trends.

Responsibilities

• Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within market
• Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with key accounts

• Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
• Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
• Understand category-specific landscapes and trends
• Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
• Handle incoming sales inquiries for extended stays & groups of 5 or greater
• Create and maintain Business Transient and Group Agreements
• Support general manger with billing and coding of payables related to sales
• Participate in weekly revenue calls- reporting out on sales activities and market forecast
• Respond to Extended Stay leads & Customers in a timely fashion
• Review daily arrivals and create welcome notes/gifts for extended stay guests
• Track weekly sales activities

Skills

• Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
• Previous experience as a sales executive in the hospitality or similar industry, sales manager or sales and marketing director
• Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
• Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
• Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
• Proven ability to position products against competitors
• Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
• Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills

• Account Management and New Business Development
• Responsible for overseeing the retention and acquisition of accounts by growing existing accounts and generating new business to a level that meets or exceeds sales forecasts.
• Executes all aspects of the sales and marketing plans to surpass revenue goals. This includes making outside sales calls and cold calls while maintaining relationships with current accounts.
• Builds and maintains relationships
• BA/BS degree or equivalent

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year

• Business development: 2 years (Required)
• Sales: 1 year (Required)
• Hospitality: 1 year (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
