General Manager Builders/Contract Sales Division in Moorpark, CA
WDC Kitchen & Bath Center is currently looking for a General Manager in the Ventura County area for our Builder/Contract Sales Division. The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing the operations, sales, account receivables, and administrative activities with support from the administrative personnel. The ideal candidate is someone with knowledge and experience in Construction Project Management, business development, billing, and receivables, managing hourly and sub labor, understanding cost control, and excellent vendor and client relation skills.
Duties and responsibilities
General Company
- Oversee Order Desk, Purchasing, Scheduling and Dispatch Departments
- Oversee Account Receivable (billings and collections)
- Oversee Inventory Management
Business Development / Estimating
- Maintain existing client list and develop new client list.
- Manage the pipeline and pursuits reports.
- Maintain existing relationships with vendors and develop new relationships.
Project Award / Pre-Con
- Finalize the Sale Cost Sheet for new contract awards.
- Takes the lead on the Owner Contract Award process, including review and negotiation of contract terms, boiler plate, contract check list and scope of work.
Project Operations
- Manage contract, schedule, and job performance to meet customer expectations.
- Monitor progress and schedule of multiple projects.
- Work with PM on cost issues, change orders, RFI’s, plan revisions, schedule updates, delays, and submittals.
- Review and approve the man hour budget, tracking sheet and submittal of time sheets.
- Provide proactive management to prevent problems and the be able to resolve emerging ones.
- Required to analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
Project Administration
- Work with accounting to reconcile invoices
- Review, approve and submit documentation required for change orders
Job Close Out
- Ensure that projects completed on time and on budget.
- Assist accounting in securing final payment.
In the General Manager role, we are seeking someone who has:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (or related field) and three to five years of industry experience in Construction Project Management or 10 plus years of experience in Construction Project Management.
- Three to five years of supervisory experience with progressive managerial responsibilities.
- Microsoft Office proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent prioritizing & decision-making skills. Displays strong organizational and planning skills.
- Strong communication and relationship development skills
- The ability to delegate work, give authority to work independently, set expectations and monitor delegated activities.
- Demonstrated commitment to improving and promoting quality in all operating areas.
- The ability to bring energy to the day-to-day as well as long-term tasks and plans.
- Honesty, Integrity, Trust & Respect – Must be seen as truthful and credible and exhibit respectful behavior in all actions representing the company.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
