Job Description
Best Western Hotels & Resorts is a leading, global hospitality network comprised of three hotel companies, including WorldHotels® Collection, Best Western® Hotels & Resorts and SureStay Hotel Group®.
Our North America Leisure Travel sales team is in need of an experienced salesperson to develop comprehensive sales objectives, strategies, and programs in support of
The Associate Director, Leisure Travel North America will be responsible for:
- Goal setting and performance optimization of customer revenue, room night, and share of spend targets
- Implementing brand selling strategies and product information with customers
- Direct introduction and promotion to partners and major programs, which may include new business models
- Directing and leading the negotiation of contracts with intermediaries
- Actively participating and representing the brand in industry organizations and events
- Working with various teams across Worldwide Sales and the brand to coordinate and regularly contribute to the strategy for driving the optimal channel and product mix
- Working with revenue management team to monitor rate parity to identify violations by partners and/or their affiliates and address accordingly.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years related experience, including management level assignments in hotel sales or other related hospitality industry companies
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel Administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Financial / budgeting acumen with financial accountability.
- Sound competition and industry knowledge.
- Convinces others, both internal and external to the organization to accept new concepts and approaches.
- Negotiates with external contacts.
- Resolves broadly defined problems by identifying root cause and creative solutions.
- Successfully manages multiple, diverse projects and/or processes.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
