Job Title: Counter Sales Associate

As a NAPA Counter Sales Associate, you are looked at as the “face of the retail store” and the go-to person as soon as our customers enter our retail stores for all of their automotive needs.

About the Role:

You will act as primary point of contact for retail or wholesale customers and ensures sales by determining customer needs. Utilize POS system to assist in securing necessary parts, maintaining personal and store image, and ensuring customer receives a great experience.

• Providing outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who comes into our NAPA Store
• Provide auto parts answers and solutions for our retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter/over the phone
• Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members answer questions for customers
• Bring customer focus and high energy to our fast-paced stores
• Welcome retail customers into our stores and engage to provide a positive consumer experience
• Use technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system

About You:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• 1-2 years of experience working in a retail sales environment
• A passion for the automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership, a plus
• Excellent at building genuine customer relationships that enhances the overall customer experience
• Superb written, verbal, and active listening communication skills
• Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems, a plus
• High School diploma or GED, is required
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Agility to bend to floor-level shelves and reach to upper shelves (eight feet) with use of stool or ladder when necessary and the stamina to stand and walk for entire work shift and lift up to 60 lbs. of merchandise
