What we are looking for...

The Solutions Engineering team is looking for an experienced Sales Engineer in the area of Network Management and Automation based remotely in the Eastern Standard Timezone. This Sales Engineer will provide technical expertise throughout our sales process to our customers. Networking experience is of paramount importance in this search!

What you will do...

• Present in-person and online pre-sales demos of various software to prospective customers.
• Provide technical leadership in building demonstrations, prototypes, proof-of-concepts via on-site and remote meetings with customers, proving August Schell’s value in the customer’s environment.
• Perform deep analysis of customers' network environment by capturing requirements and IT management pain points to propose the most suitable solutions.
• Provide technical leadership on network technologies and deployments to internal teams, including pre-sales, post-sales, professional services, marketing, and business development.
• Train and assist customers on using partner OEM products to manage their network.
• Serve as the technical point of contact to prospective customers via on-line meetings, phone, or email.

What you will bring...

• A Bachelor’s degree or relevant field experience.
• Extensive knowledge of major vendors’ networking products configurations, operations, and deployments
• Deep knowledge of implementing and troubleshooting dynamic routing protocols, QOS, Security, MPLS, Multicast, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong technical presentation skills.
• Experience in management of key business stakeholders in very large enterprises.
• The ability to quickly learn complex technologies.
• Previous Network Operations and/or NOC experience (preferred, not required)
• The ability to travel around the National Capital Region

Stand out with...

• Cisco Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CyberOps Associate) (preferred, not required)
• A Security Clearance (preferred, not required)
• Previous F5 experience
• SASE and SDN implementation experience
• CompTIA Network Infrastructure Professional (CNIP) (preferred, not required)
