Sales Engineer

American Maplan Corporation, a leading manufacturer of extrusion machinery located in McPherson KS, is looking for a reliable and self-driven Sales Engineer to join our team. This is a rare opportunity to break into the industry and gain valuable knowledge and experience in OEM design and sales. This is an important role, coordinating sales order fulfilment across all of our product lines.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of sales quotations, production line layout drawings, management reports and other vital business documents
• Identify and resolve delivery risks
• Use technical and analytical abilities to answer and respond promptly to customer and corporate inquiries
• Review sales quotes and product pricing
• Coordinate sales order fulfilment
• Work with logistics personnel
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required. Mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology degree preferred.
• Plastics industry experience, beneficial
• OEM machinery industry experience, beneficial
• Knowledge of MS office applications
• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system experience. SAP preferred
