Position Overview:

While this position is Work from Home eligible, the individual is expected to live in the Sutter footprint and be able to travel to Emeryville, CA headquarters and various Sutter Health facilities as needed.
The Manager of Strategy & Business Development's core areas of responsibility include: growth-oriented strategic and business planning and development; service line planning and development; capital planning and approval including medical capital and facility development; and planning.
The Manager supports the Director on key system wide and service line specific initiatives, including growth, affordability and care transformation. The Manager works collaboratively with Sutter Health Corporate Strategy & Business Development staff to develop integrated and coordinated health care services and product lines.

Job Description:

EDUCATION

A Master’s Degree in hospital/healthcare or business administration from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

8 years experience in project management, internal consulting, development and facilitation of planning retreats and proven ability in management/leadership skills; experience in a matrix management or consulting type environment desirable.

8 years experience in business planning, special project work, strategy development and business analysis.

8 years experience in designing and leading initiatives with proven performance in meeting productivity, financial and client satisfaction goals on deadline.

8 years experience with program planning, implementation, evaluation and budget preparation.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Problem identification, analysis and resolution skills and ability to work with multiple priorities.

Effective verbal and written skills and demonstrated ability to translate relevant research, primary and secondary data and statistical information into effective presentation formats..

Demonstrated facility with quantitative and statistical analysis. Facility with descriptive statistics to collect, synthesize, and communicate information in a clear, concise manner.

Knowledge base regarding industry trends, including new technologies, reimbursement changes, changes in local competitor strategies, and national trends.

Ability to work in a team environment and provide outstanding customer service to internal customers. Demonstrated skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with senior management and physicians.

Organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines; ability to develop and conduct presentations to groups.

Ability to manage cross functional project teams.
Pay Range: 62.98-94.47

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
