Custom Comfort Mattress is seeking a successful full-time Sales Associate for our new division Agoura Hills!
Custom Comfort Mattress locally manufactures and sells handcrafted, high-quality mattresses made with natural materials and traditional, lasting craftsmanship. We create genuine, welcoming, customer-focused experiences with the mission of helping our customers get their best sleep each night.
Custom Comfort Mattress was founded 30 years ago and continues to run as a privately held family-owned business. The company’s manufacturing facility is located in Orange County, CA. We operate eight retail showrooms, six in Orange County and two in Los Angeles county.
An ideal candidate would possess a polite, professional manner in your communications via email and phone calls. You must be able to multitask and prioritize. Developing a comprehensive knowledge of our brand and the landscape in which you work will build credibility with the clients. Knowing how to effectively interact with different types of people and thriving in a one-on-one environment can be important to your work as a Sales Associate.
- Serve clients in a branded, friendly, proactive, and efficient manner with appropriate and timely follow-ups as necessary.
- Builds and maintains an extensive knowledge base of similar local businesses.
Frequently communicating with clients and others over the phone (including text messaging) and via email.
The ideal Sales Associate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Sales Associate is responsible for assisting customers with questions about the product. This includes product and industry knowledge.
- Provide excellent customer service including resolving complaints and create resolutions.
- Fit the customer by properly asking questions to assure best fit is suggested.
- Communicate with customers via phone calls and email. Responding to requests in a timely manner.
- Accurate order entry for all orders.
- Sales Associates are expected to complete every transaction accurately including but not limited to explaining the process and lead time to customers.
- Coordinate with internal operations department such as Logistics Manager.
- Create strong, lasting, profitable, relationships with each customer.
- Demonstrate confidentiality and attention detail as the position requires handling customers’ confidential information such as their address.
- Meet individual sales target and help meet the store’s overall sales revenue metrics.
- Demonstrate professionalism towards clients, vendors and peers.
Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of sales experience in a consulting environment.
- Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Prior retail sales experience required
- Must be able to work at our office in Thousand Oaks.
- Assist the management team in ensuring the store is properly merchandise.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management and prioritizing abilities.
- Effective communication, including speaking, writing and active listening.
- Able to give and receive feedback and constructive criticism from a variety of channels.
- Great strategic planning and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Collaboration and teamwork skills.

Salary range is $20 to $23 per hour, depending on experience. Plus Generous Sales Incentive Bonus.
