Ecoverse delivers a full line of environmental processing equipment and is the premier distributor of organic/environmental recycling and processing machines in North America. We serve the compost, soil, wood recycling and waste sectors, among others.

Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for finding and developing new business while supporting existing accounts in Northern California. The job is an entry level sales position, and the candidate will be provided the necessary training for the role. The products we sell are large capital investments for our customers, with a long sales cycle that requires professional follow-up and initiative.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • The job will require up to 50% travel in the territory (2+ nights overnight travel/week)
  • Find and develop new sources of machine sales and parts business.
  • Work with internal sales management and product specialists to close deals
  • Support existing accounts in the territory as necessary
  • Follow up on inquiries, sales leads, quotations and bids, using telephone, email and personal meetings
  • Maintain company customer database with existing and potential customers in your territory
  • Use good time management skills to effectively plan appointments and make travel arrangements
  • Provide support to Service / Credit / Warranty departments with repairs and installations, as necessary
  • Comply with company rules and Code of Ethics
Qualifications:
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience
  • 1-2 years of business experience. Sales or marketing experience preferred. If no experience, relevant coursework will be considered.
  • Requires job travel; therefore, should live in the northern half of California

Use technical and analytical abilities to assure existing work practices are the most efficient and cost effective possible. Perform root-cause analysis and implement viable, permanent solutions to problems. Work with both internal and external customers to develop solutions which meet company-wide needs and objectives. Apply a sense of urgency to resolve problems or create opportunities that will increase productivity and create value. Share best practices with other employees across the business.
  • Accountability: Accept responsibility and accessibility for both the strategic planning and the successful implementation of all projects, programs, and duties as outlined in this job description. Advise management of concerns, problems and progress of work in a timely manners.
