Outside Sales Representative- Plumbing/HVAC/Electrical Sales

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Sioux Falls, SD team. We are seeking an Outside Sales Representative, specializing in Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical Products. The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for planning and implementing the company’s marketing strategies, including developing and coordinating new business, maintaining existing client relationships, establishing new business opportunities with collaborative partners, and coordinating with internal staff.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Forecast, solicit, and secure orders from potential and existing customers (cold calling, in person, email, etc.)
  • Cover, support and manage daily sales for the designated territory.
  • Submit weekly activity/call reports and lost business reports.
  • Produce monthly territory sales forecasts.
  • Manage customer/client relationships, including following up throughout the selling process.
  • Travel when necessary and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in business or related preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of industry-related experience (preferably in Plumbing/HVAC/Electrical).
  • Computer and math skills.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and collaborate within a multi-functional team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Time management skills and ability to organize and prioritize schedule.
  • Self-motivated and self-starter.
  • Willingness to travel.
