Job Summary: Our Sales Consultant is responsible for developing, planning, and implementing the company sales strategies. The Sales Consultant role serves as the face of the company while building relationships with current and prospective clients. We are looking for someone that is hungry for growth, able to work autonomously with strong self motivation, and is always looking to build new relationships. The ideal candidate is able to develop and execute a sales strategy while measuring success through report building and database management.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Executes sales strategy set forth by the leadership team.
- Identify additional sales strategies and opportunities within the greater company strategy.
- Develops and maintains a database of current commercial clients, prospective commercial clients, and targeted residential neighborhoods.
- Engages with current and prospective commercial clients to develop leads that may be passed-off to the Director of Field Operations or the COO.
- Serves clients by selling lawn care and landscaping services based on the clients’ needs.
- Supports existing accounts through work orders and up-selling additional services.
- Ensures that sales collateral and other related materials are up-to-date with the organization’s current service offerings and are seasonally appropriate given the time of sale.
- Focuses sales targets by taking into consideration factors such as geography, routing, client type, and growth targets.
- Keeps leadership informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, services, new services, and advertisement techniques/channels.
- Recommends changes in services and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolves client needs by investigating any issues, developing solutions, preparing bids, and making recommendations to the client.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge of the industry through regular development and training.
- Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
- Contributes to the team by proactively communicating trends to leadership teams that are identified through daily work activities.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Customer service with a focus on building client relationships.
- Sales driven mindset with ability to manage assigned territories.
- Strong strategic sales tactics, including experience closing the sale, prospecting clients, and negotiating with the ability to evolve.
- Confidence and motivation to grow on a personal and professional level.
- Strong digital and creative skills to help develop and present relevant collateral.
- Ability to learn services provided and new software and technologies quickly.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or greater.
- Industry sales experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
