An exciting opportunity to join our successful Il Fornaio - San Jose, Hotel and Restaurant Food and Beverage Dept. Located in the newly refurbished Westin Hotel in downtown San Jose, CA. This location is poised for excellent meeting, social and local event increased sales.

The Catering Sales Manager core objectives will be to create new sales, develop event proposals for customers, follow up and complete all required items to insure a successful event, and greet clients and guests to the restaurant. The Catering Manager will prospect, qualify, and capture new corporate and social clientele.

Quality, customer service, hospitality, and energy are required for this position as well as a desire to Over-communicate all needs. The employee will be a creative problem solver, provide outstanding customer service, be enthusiastic, professional and be able to build friendly business relationships with internal and external customers. Requirements for this position include: Experience in a lounge, restaurant, catering co. and/or nightclub is required. Skills in technology include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Internet research skills and professional phone etiquette. Lastly, knowledge in marketing and bilingual is a plus.

Compensation: $65K-$75K per year based on experience, plus bi-weekly bonus based on sales generated. Total compensation estimated at $80K-$100K based on total sales generated.
