JOB SUMMARY
- The Manager, Sales is responsible for the management and performance of the Buckeye Broadband Business Class (BBBC) and multiple dwelling unit (MDU) sales channels. The Manager is responsible for oversight all of the daily activities for the sales department including maximizing sales revenues and meeting company sales objectives on a consistent basis.
- The Manager, Sales reports directly to the Director of Sales.
- Direct reports to the Manager, Sales include Account Executive- Buckeye Business
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The Manager, Sales is accountable for:
- Executing the strategic vision for the BBBC and MDU operations, including overall management of the sales channel operations within the established budgets to achieve individual, department and company goals;
- Ensuring revenue and activity performance standards for all BBBC and MDU Sales Professionals are defined, communicated, executed and achieved;
- Hiring, training, coaching, and motivating BBBC and MDU sales professionals to deliver above average job performance;
- Planning and directing the strategic activities and timelines for the single point billing, right of entry, and new build sales channels, coordinating with other department heads as required;
- Managing the negotiation process for bulk sales, ensuring contracts are up to date, accurate, and in accordance with Company objectives;
- Identifying new build areas and MDU properties not currently known by the Company, then developing relationships that turn into business opportunities;
- Attending Home Builders Association and other related networking events that increase exposure and sales opportunities for the Company;
- Providing timely, fair, effective and accurate performance feedback in accordance with policies and established schedules;
- Developing and enforcing departmental practices and procedures that improve department performance, effectiveness and efficiency;
- Creating collaborative relationships across the company’s other vertical sales departments to ensure maximum effectiveness of the department;
- Following and enforcing the Company’s policies and procedures, including the EEO guidelines and safety, at all times;
- Performing any miscellaneous departmental duties as needed.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED – required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales or Business-related field OR equivalent experience – required
- 8 years of relevant sales experience - required
- 5 years of sales supervisory experience - required
