The Solar Specialist will:
· Provide high quality service and care to all potential customers and businesses.
· Collaborate with Solar Advisors to build customer proposals based on project details, and other customer communications.
· Build and send project agreements and other closing paperwork for clients ready to move forward
· Answer follow-up questions about the project agreements, deposits, project flow, and company financing programs.
· Review new project folders to make sure all required details and documents required by the company are provided.
· Gather project specific details from customers in order to advance each project forward
· Effectively document pertinent project notes for design teams and sales representatives
· Facilitate basic customer change orders related to operation changes such as equipment changes, additional services, and cost changes as they arise.
· Log customer communications in CRM.
· Support Inside sales I role as point of contact to help discuss the basic of site evaluations, solar, energy storage and heat pump policies and incentives, and how we operate to deliver the best customer experience in Vermont.
· Schedule customer site visits as needed.
· Must assist customers in how solar, energy storage, and heat pumps can work to benefit and add value to potential customers home or business.
· Communicate clearly, thoroughly, and professionally with clients and prospects at all times. Respond to communications (emails, texts, phone calls, etc…) within 24-hours or establish a delegate to cover during vacation times.
· Attend events on behalf of the company as necessary to promote GMS and garner leads for future site visits.
· Solar Specialist must be proficient in the use of Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint.
· Solar Specialist may also be required to perform other Duties as Assigned but that are not yet determined. Duties may evolve over time as the business also evolves, processes are improved, products are introduced, etc.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years professional experience
- Outgoing and excited to talk to people about going solar
- Organized and able to juggle overlapping projects
- Curious to explore new ideas and problem solve with a can-do attitude
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
- Responsible/accountable
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office
- Experience with the following programs a plus: Hubspot, MS Teams or Slack, Asana (or other project management programs)
