Full description of the position

American Construction Metals (ACM), a strategic business unit of ABC Supply, produces a wide array of metal building materials including trim coil, edge metal, gutter systems and a variety of other metal accessories. ACM is seeking an experienced Invoicing Specialist / Inside Sales. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying and processing customer orders as well as setting up less than truckload shipments (LTL) to be invoiced. Additionally, you will work alongside the customer service and shipping teams while providing superior customer service, researching shipping information and filing freight claims.
Specific duties may include:
  • Investigating discrepancies within invoices
  • Completing transactions using an Inventory Management System (JD Edwards)
  • Tracking and responding to questions in regards to LTL shipments
  • Providing back order and follow up notifications for the customer service team in a timely manner
  • Researching LTL rate information and scheduling material pickup
  • Other duties as assigned
Specific qualifications include:
  • Previous experience in customer service, invoicing and/or shipping is required
  • Previous ERP experience is preferred, specifically JD Edwards (JDE)
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to multi task
  • Solid communication and follow up skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
