Objective: This position will identify and pursue national contractors that specialize in construction of facilities utilizing products and services we offer. The intent is to negotiate global or national agreements above the local office level utilizing all of our strategic initiative groups within Convergint.
What youll do with Our Training and Your Experience
- Drive new business development in the national general and electrical contractor market to achieve total annual sales goals. This includes prospecting, assessing needs, qualifying opportunities, aligning solutions to outcomes, and closing sales.
- Develop and manage the partner network.
- Team up with CTC (branch) colleagues and other Strategic Initiatives teams to further penetrate existing accounts and to grow the portfolio of new accounts.
- Capture and develop prospect accounts and support the set-up of the account management programs for continual growth.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
What You'll Need:
- Extensive success selling to national general and electrical contractors. Selling security, fire/low voltage systems is a strong advantage.
- Well recognized as an expert at what you do.
- Successful track record of sales success at a national level.
- Ability to think strategically and develop new strategies and execute tactics for growth.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Shown ability to engage cross-function colleagues in Marketing, business development, sales, and operations
- Extraordinary organizational skills
- Comfort with executive presentations
- Must be a team player also a team leader
