Job Summary:

Hukseflux is an industry leading manufacturer of industrial sensors for solar irradiance and thermal heat flux energy measurement. We’re currently seeking qualified in-house technical sales representatives to represent our solar radiometer and thermal heat flux sensor product lines out of our easter Suffolk sales office location in Center Moriches, NY. The sales candidate will be tasked with providing sales support to customers, providing product information, assist with product selection, provide pricing information, as well as service support as needed via phone and email, while also assisting in other sales and marketing related activities.

Solar radiometer (sensor) application sectors:

• Utility scale solar power systems performance monitoring
• Solar energy resource assessment
• Routine environmental monitoring
• Agrometeorology
• Global climate change / energy balance research
• Aerospace
• Automotive performance testing

Heat flux sensor application market sectors:

• Building thermal efficiency testing
• Green roof energy balance monitoring
• Fire safety testing
• Industrial boiler foiling monitoring
• Rocket engine performance testing
• CSP (concentrating solar power) systems monitoring
• Exotic materials performance testing
• Military / Defense
• Evapotranspiration monitoring

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with product selection based upon use case and operating environment.
• Email formal quotations to customers on sensor products of interest.
• Answer customer product inquiries relating to general use and routine maintenance of our solar and heat flux sensor products by phone and email.
• Occasionally attend and assist with tradeshow activities within the U.S., two to three tradeshows annually.
• Coordinate with our digital marketing staff on targeted quarterly email blasts.
• Assist digital marketing staff in copy generation for use on our company website.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Candidate should possess basic understanding of physical science.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as required to prepare reports and logs.

Education and Work Experience:

• Experience in the solar energy, temperature measurement, thermal heat energy measurement, or process control industries, is preferred.
• 2-year degree: A.E., A.E.S., or A.E.T
• 4-year degree: BS
• 4-year degree: BA is acceptable if candidate has a high technical aptitude and basic understanding of phycial science.

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds: e.g., large luggage piece.
• Occasion travel by domestic airline within the U.S., approximate once per quarter, primarily for tradeshow support.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
