Since 1975, Total Air Supply has been a leader in HVAC wholesale and custom metal fabrication for the New England region. Based out of Derry, New Hampshire with branches in Nashua and Manchester, we carry a large selection of equipment for split systems, mini-splits, and light commercial as well as parts, round and square duct work, filters, and general supplies. Our full service custom fabrication shop, located at our Derry facility, is ready to meet any specific needs that our customers require from sheet metal to spiral to welded black iron and stainless steel.

The Sales Manager is responsible for managing multiple territories in existing sales markets as well as developing new sales growth through the saturation of existing territories and building sales within the company’s existing customer base. This role manages Territory Managers to develop their sales skills, calls on customers, handles escalated customer issues, and keeps current on product lines as well as new products. Additionally, this role supports excellence in customer service.
This position is based at our Derry branch conveniently located at 1 B St, Derry, NH 03038.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Hires and trains local territory managers and staff.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules, territories, and performance of territory managers.
- Develops Territory Managers through coaching and effective leadership.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Essential Job Duties
· Leads by example in all staff and customer dealings in person, on the phone, and in written communication.
· Provides excellent customer service through consistent and timely customer interaction, problem resolution or escalation with effective and efficient follow-up.
· Achieves Company Objectives for Base Sales Growth, New Account Sales, and Vendor Specific Sales.
· Responsible for assisting in preparation of and executing annual company sales plan.
· Responsible for supporting customer education and training initiatives including product, technical, and business-related training classes.
· Responsible for customer calls for assigned accounts and joint sales calls with staff or vendors as needed.
· Participates in and promotes vendor-based marketing programs with targeted vendors.
· Develops and executes in conjunction with the Vice President and the marketing team the brand specific annual sales plan.
· Responsible for the development and performance of territory managers.
· Performs annual performance evaluations for Territory Managers.
· Conducts a weekly update meeting with Territory Managers & Vice President
· Participates and plans the training and development of staff.
· Demonstrates proficiency in the use of the company ERP.
· Demonstrates proficiency in the use of the company BI Tool.
· Travel as required including but not limited to dealer trip, factory tour, vendor conferences, educational, and association meetings.
Preferred Job Requirements
- 7 or more years’ experience with HVAC, sales, and related functions.
Minimum Job Requirements
- High School diploma or its GED equivalent and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field or the equivalent in related work experience.
- 5 or more years’ experience with HVAC, sales, and related functions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Aptitude for mathematical operations and numerical analysis.
- Use computers, photocopiers, scanners, phone systems and meeting and virtual platform sharing relative to the needs of the job.
- Minimum keyboarding skills of 40 words per minute.
