The Applications Engineer is responsible for increasing sales by providing technical and engineering support to the sales teams and our customers. This positions requires a heavy focus on customer service, bridging the gap between the customers and suppliers through customer feedback responses, presentations/demonstrations, and technical support. In order to ensure complete customer satisfaction and proper application, the engineer must be involved in the following functions: analysis, training, supporting, presentations, feedback, testing, and problem solving.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identifies application issues and cost reduction opportunities to help us meet our customers’ Value-Added/Value-Engineered cost savings initiatives.
• Consults on the proper application of products and solutions.
• Assists in the development of new business, while supporting sales and providing product demonstrations.
• Assists with the sales process through regularly scheduled customer visits.
• Analyzes and troubleshoots fastener and assembly related applications.
• Assists Quality department in the analysis of failure modes of fasteners and related components.
• Facilitates training seminars for intercompany and customer knowledge sharing events.
• Contributes to the improvement of the sales team and promotes teamwork throughout our organization.

• 50% of travel can be expected for this position.

Education/Experience Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• At least two years of engineering experience.
• Proficiency or ability to reach proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel
• Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Must have ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment, and ensure timely completion of responsibilities
• Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Work well in a fast-paced team environment
• Self-motivated

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
