Full description of the position

MANAGERIAL DUTIES

  • ASSIGN ACCOUNTS TO MARKETING STAFF TO BE PROCESSED ACCORDINGLY
  • REVIEW SUSPENSE LOG ON MARKETING STAFF.
  • PROCESS WEEKLY WORKLOG REPORT AND REVIEW TO REGULATE THE WORKD FLOW OF THE MARKETING STAFF.
  • CONDUCT WEEKLY MEETINGS WITH ASSISTANT MARKETER TO REVIEWS ACCOUNTS AND ESTABLISH OBJECTIVES AND STEIATEGIES.
  • PROCESS COMPANY EXPIRATION LIST 90 DAYS IN ADVANCE TO REVIEWD AND TARGET WHICH ACCOUNTS NEED TO BE ASSIGNED TO MARKETING.
  • COORDINATE AND ASSIST HEADS OF ANY OTHER DEPARTMENTS ON ANYD PROJECTS AS NEEDED.
  • COORDINATE WITH HEAD OF SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO PREPARE ANY^ EXISTING ACCOUNT THAT NEEDS TO BE ASSIGNED TO MARKETING.
  • CONDUCT ANNUAL EVALUATIONS OF MARKETING STAFF.
  • COORDINATE WITH ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER ON THE HIRING OF ANYD MARKETING STAFF.
  • SUPERVISE TRAINING OF MARKETING STAFF.

MARKETING MANAGER DUTIES

  • SEEK PLACEMENT ON ALL COVERAGES REFERRED BY PRODUCERS OR OTHER BRANCHD MANAGERS.
  • ESTABLISH A NOTE FIELD ON ALL NEW AND RENEWAL ACCOUNTS ASSIGNED TOO MARKETING.
  • REVIEW COMPANY MAIL AND DISTRIBUTE TO PERSONNEL.
  • KEEP ABREAST OF MARKET CONDITIONS IN EACH LINE OF INSURANCE.
  • DISSEMINATE COMPANY INFORMATION TO ASSOCIATES AS DEEMED NECESSARY.
  • ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN FAVORABLE RELATIONS WITH COMPANY UNDERWRITERS AND MANAGERS.
  • ASSIST OTHER BRANCH MARKETING MANAGERS ON ANY OF THEIRQ ACCOUNTS AS NEEDED.
  • ASSIST PRODUCERS AS NEEDED. TO DEVELOP AND PROVIDE SALES INFORMATION TO PRODUCERS AS NEEDED.
  • ASSIST AND COORDINATE WITH COMPUTER SYSTEMS MANAGER AS NEEDEDD ON PROJECTS SUCH AS RATING, INTERFACING, REPORTS, ETC.
  • REVIEW AND DISTRIBUTE ALL CIRCULAR LETTERS AS ISSUED BY INSURANCEH REGULATORY AGENCIES.
  • REVIEW AND MAINTAIN FILES ON ALL NEWS LETTERS.
  • MAINTAIN CONTRACT, COMPANY CORRESPONDENCE COMPANY DRAFT, AND SURPLUSD LINES FILES.
  • REVIEW PRODUCTION AND CLAIMS REPORTS WITH SUPERVISOR ON A MONTHLY BASIS.
  • PLAN, SCHEDULE AND COORDINATE MARKETING MEETINGS WITH THE OTHERTI BRANCHES' MARKETING MANAGERS TO ESTABLISH COMMON MARKETING GOALS ANDD STRATEGIES.
  • SEEK NEW MARKETS WHEN CURRENT OR AVAILABLE MARKETS ARE RESTRICTED ORU CANCELLED.
  • REVIEW CONTINGENCY CONTRACTS ON ANY EXISTING COMPANIES ON AN ANNUALC BASIS TO FORM A DECISION ON THE COMMITMENT LEVEL FOR THE FOLLOWING YEARS.
  • COMPLETE AGENCY PROFILES AS REQUESTED BY COMPANIES ON AN ANNUAL BASIS.

MARKETER DUTIES

  • REVIEW FACTFINDER ON ALL PROSPECT ACCOUNTS WITH THE PRODUCER.
  • SET UP A PROSPECT FILE.
  • ANALYZE PROSPECT ACCOUNTS FOR ANY GAPS IN COVERAGE OR FOR COVERAGED ENHANCEMENTS.
  • DECIDE ON A STRATEGY AND OBJECTIVE ON MARKETING AN ACCOUNT.
  • DO PRELIMINARY PHONE CALLS TO FIND AN INTERESTED MARKET.
  • DISCUSS PROPOSAL WITH PRODUCER TO DISCUSS WHICH TACTIC TO USE ON OBTAINING THE ACCOUNT. IE: PRICE, COVERAGE, SERVICE

OVERSEE THE FOLLOWING TASKS

  • MAINTAIN COMPANY MANUALS.
  • COMPLETE APPLICATIONS, RATING WORKSHEETS, LOSS RATIOS AND COVER LETTER.
  • MAIL OUT OR FAX SUBMISSION TO INTERESTED MARKETS.
  • ADVISE PRODUCER ON STATUS OF ACCOUNTS.
  • OBTAIN ANY MISSING INFORMATION FROM PRODUCERS ON ACCOUNTS REFERRED TOD MARKETING.
  • REVIEW SUSPENSE FILE TO OBTAIN QUOTES FROM MARKETS.
  • NEGOTIATE WITH COMPANY UNDERWRITERS TO OBTAIN BEST PRICING AND COVERAGE.
  • PROCESS ROUGH DRAFT PROPOSAL INCLUDING RECOMMENDATIONS.
  • PROCESS ANY RE-RATING AS NECESSARY. COMPLETE PROPOSAL.
  • IF ACCOUNT SOLD, PROCESS ANY NECESSARY CHANGES ON THE APPLICATIONS AND RERATE.
  • TRANSFER PROSPECT ACCOUNT NUMBER TO CUSTOMER ACCOUNT NUMBER.
  • PROCESS BINDER ON COVEEGES SOLD.
  • PROCESS ORDER LETTER TO MARKET WHICH ACCOUNT IS BOUND IN.
  • LOG IN ACCOUNT SOLD ACTIVITY.
  • ASSIGN CUSTOMER ACCOUNT TO SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO HANDLE.
  • IF ACCOUNT NOT SOLD, CLOSE OUT FILE AND SET UP A SUSPENSE TO PROSPECT IND THE FUTURE.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • FOUR YEARS COLLEGE OR EQUIVALENTD INSURANCE OR MARKETING EDUCATION.
  • UNDERWRITING KNOWLEDGE/SALES SKILLS.
  • 5 + YEARS EXPERIENCE

Abilities Required:

  • SHOULD HAVE PEOPLE SKILLS WITH A HIGH EMPHASIS ON KNOWING HOW TO NEGOTIATE.
  • YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAINTAIN A POSITIVED SELLING ATTITUDE AT ALL TIMES ON ALL ACCOUNTS.
  • PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS ARED HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ALONG WITH ORGANIZATION SKILLS.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
