Job Description Summary
The Consulting Manager (Change Management) will be embedded as part of the real estate and workplace team, within a dynamic and high-growth Bio-Tech client account, based in the Greater Seattle metro area. This person will focus on the people side of change, leading the multi-year client real estate Change Management Program to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization and greater proficiency of the workplace changes that impact employees at the client organization.
Job Description
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree in Communications, HR, Organization Development, Psychology or related field preferred
· Change management certification or designation preferred; Prosci Certification a plus
· 7+ years of experience in dedicated change management roles, driving awareness and adoption at an enterprise scale
· A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process; experience with Prosci ADKAR® Model is a plus
· Some (3+ years) consulting experience preferred; Facilities & Real Estate or Bio-Tech industry experience a plus
· Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills and ability to write across a wide variety of formats
· High emotional intelligence, excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
· Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
· Strategic mindset, acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
· Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
· Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships, at all levels in an organization
· Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
· Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
· Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
· Problem solving and root cause identification skills
· Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
· Strong knowledge and proficiency with spreadsheet and presentation software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop effective change management strategies and execute projects to ensure successful and lasting change.
· Lead multi-year change management program, including project delivery, program timelines, resourcing and stakeholder management
· Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities
· Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan
· Lead communication efforts as part of an overall change management strategy
· Complete change management assessments
· Identify and prepare risk mitigation tactics
· Identify and manage anticipated resistance
· Build, maintain and successfully deliver on project plans that meet our client’s needs within the schedule and budget that has been established
· Manage project team activities including provide supervision, training and mentorship, as needed
· Develop and facilitate training efforts
· Support and engage senior leaders
· Evaluate and ensure user readiness
· Track and report issues
· Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
· Develop presentation materials; ensuring the final product is clear, succinct, delivers a powerful message and addresses client questions and goals
· Create materials using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and other applicable presentation tools
· Manage project time and respond to requests in a timely manner, meeting all team and project deadlines
· Participate actively in the research and development of white papers and industry reports
· Seek out and suggest ways to apply new industry tools/technology to current projects
· 20-40% travel at times
· Role requires frequent on-site presence
· Other job duties as assigned
PHYSICAL CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to travel from floor to floor and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. The employee may also be regularly required to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time; regularly use hands to operate office equipment including, but not limited to, telephones, computers, and printers; regularly required to walk, talk, and hear.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
