Territory Sales Manager
As the Territory Sales Manager you will sell and promote plastics compounds to manufacturers at customer's place of business in designated territory. The Territory Sales Manager will be in charge of providing marketing reports and information on competition to assist in establishing strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
A Qualified Territory Sales Manager Candidate will have a minimum of 4+ years’ experience:
- Initiating ideas and supporting continuous improvement efforts including quality, environmental, health and safety improvements
- Compiling lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads
- Traveling throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders and talk with customers concerning updates on product information
- Introducing technical innovations, ensuring continuous quality improvement
- Quoting prices and credit terms to customers
- Preparing requested reports for VP of Sales &Marketing (daily activities, business transactions, sales forecast, and expense account)
- Estimating date of delivery to customers, based on knowledge of our firm's product and delivery schedule
- Demonstrating product, using samples, data sheets, and emphasizes saleable features and quality control
- Researching new markets and applications for PVC compounds for new and existing products
- Interacting with production and scheduling to help attain better effectiveness
- Attending monthly and quarterly sales meetings on site at plant locations
Territory Sales Manager Responsibilties:
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum four years related experience
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good computer skills
- Demonstrated people and project management skills with the ability to meet established goals and timelines
- Ability to travel frequently**
Things to know for Territory Sales Manager things to know:
- Valid Drivers License to work territory of Ohio, Michigan and Indiana (specific territory will be given at a later date/after interview process)
- Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship
