Old Sculpin Gallery in Edgartown MA is looking to hire for the 2023 season!
We have 3 positions available. Please view the details of each position below.
- Gallery Manager/Director
-Gallery Sales Assistant
-Gallery Sales and Administrative Assistant
Here’s what the jobs will require-

Gallery Manager responsibilities include- overseeing daily operations, curating weekly shows and exhibits, managing sales records and inventory database, with a proficiency in social media and technology. You’ll be expected to provide exceptional customer service, along with a love and knowledge of the arts. An ease with greeting customers, answering their questions and providing detailed information about each of our artists. Maintain the presentation of the gallery, the artwork and the signage and displays. Professional appearance.
You must be a college graduate.Housing is not included, transportation is helpful but not necessary.
Full-time, (40 hours) Memorial Day until Columbus Day.

-Gallery Sales Assistant. 30 hrs/wk. responsibilities include sales, data entry, exceptional customer service, and completing individual tasks per the Gallery Manager.

-Gallery Sales and Administrative Assistant to Gallery and MVAA(Martha's Vineyard Art Association) 30-40 hrs/wk. Responsibilities include administrative/project management, but not limited to, data entry, multitasking, event management and MVAA projects.

Our landmark non-profit gallery is located in an historic former boatbuilder’s shop. Martha’s Vineyard Art Association and the Old Sculpin Gallery have been part of the MV art community for over 65 years.
