Sentient is searching for a motivated and experienced purchasing and inventory professional. You’ll handle everything from interfacing with laser service technicians to managing our extensive inventory of replacement parts. We’ll rely on you to secure the best prices while stocking inventory and striking a balance between supply and demand. The ideal candidate is highly organized and has in-depth product knowledge of electronic and mechanical procurement.

You will be responsible for making sure inventory stocks are well maintained in order to support our internal and external customers. You will also be responsible for fulfillment for our e-commerce orders. As our Purchasing and Inventory Associate, you should have good negotiation skills with suppliers/customers and the ability to take timely decisions. You should also possess excellent customer service skills and outstanding leadership abilities. You will also be responsible for ordering new inventory when existing inventory cannot satisfy demand. This includes researching potential suppliers and negotiating deals with them to ensure the best possible price and lead times to meet our requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fulfills e-commerce parts orders with 100% on-time rate and accuracy.
• Create and maintain approved supplier list, purchase request processes, and inventory restock processes for laser system components.
• Ensures that all inventory areas are organized, clean, stocked, and correctly labelled.
• Develop effective parts processes for both internal and external customers and maintain an inventory for all service departments and coordinate with various vendors to find obsolete parts, negotiate lead times, and find the best prices
• Prepares monthly and yearly sales forecasts to create target goals for parts orders.
• Maintain inventory quality to include documenting inventory repairs and returning defective components
• Manage all purchase orders with accounting and resolve any discrepancy for all purchase orders

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Exceptional interpersonal, customer service, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency in Google Doc’s & Sheets and Microsoft Office.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in procurement or inventory related position
• Must work in Park City, Utah or relocate if necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
