Salary: Base Salary is 120K + Commissions
Position Summary:

The customer focused representative drives sales in a defined sales territory working as part of a customer-focused sales team. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer (CDO), you will drive revenue by implementing sales strategies aimed at K-12 public and private schools, workforce investment boards and community-based organizations in the Territory. Their primary emphasis is closing profitable new business and increasing the revenue per customer across existing accounts. The qualified candidate must be able to work independently in smaller accounts, while collaboratively supporting the overall sales goals as determined by the customer focused CDO. The representative will be an essential component of a customer-focused team, comprising of a Team Leader and field-based Program Manager. The candidate will also work collaboratively with other departments including, state policy, marketing, product management, customer service, and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Achieving annual and monthly revenue targets.
- Prospecting within the designated territory.
- Generating a pipeline of incremental revenue opportunities.
- Documenting the pipeline and sales activity daily using existing sales tools, allowing the organization to prioritize and resource the best opportunities.
- Creating and moving personal opportunities through the sales process, including need identification, in-depth discovery, solution development, proposal generation and closing sales.
- Formulating and implementing customer account sales strategies for personal accounts, personally building relationships with school leaders to drive sales in these accounts.
- Manage the entire sales process from prospect to close in designated accounts.
- Acquiring lists and referrals from school districts
- Respond within 8 hours to all sales leads via either e-mail or phone.
- Manage activities involving e-mails, phone calls, and opportunities with new and existing customers in the CRM system.
- Provide support to the Team Leader in creation of letters and proposals for new business opportunities.
- Updating Team Leader on account initiatives and progress.
- Ensuring the accuracy of all Territory data (customer records, pipeline activity etc.) in the company CRM system, [please apply online] handle disagreements and conflicts
- Identify and work with Team Leader on resolution of barriers to sales and program growth.
- Coordinate with Graduation Alliance state policy team to maintain positive relationships with state education leaders and to understand state legislation pertaining to enrollment and per pupil funding.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years demonstrated sales experience in business, education, or government sales, with commission earnings.
- Demonstrated experience, with a track record of effective time management, relationship building over the phone, and achieving targets.
- Proven ability to grow business in existing accounts while developing new customers.
- Must be results-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Must be results focused with the will to win and push through obstacles in a respectful manner.
- Ability to prioritize individual sales activities.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- University or post-secondary degree preferred.
- Willingness to travel within a geographic Territory 50% of time.

Salary: $120,000.00 per year
