Job Description:
Tranco Global is seeking an outgoing, sales-oriented, energetic individual to fulfill the role of Business Development Specialist in our Chattanooga branch office. The successful candidate must have a strong sales presence, both over the phone and in person. This position requires successful management of the full sales cycle from identifying potential customers through onboarding new customers while transitioning them to the operations team. A Business Development Specialist must build and manage an individual portfolio of accounts and prospects. This represents an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious team player looking to flourish in a rapidly growing organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Make outbound telephone calls to prospective and existing clients
- Close new customer business
- Effectively communicate with customers and the operations team
- Enter data into the Tranco computer system in an accurate and timely manner.
- Comply with all Government regulations
- Maintain accuracy in all functions
- Maintain professional conduct with colleagues and customers
- Adhere to Tranco policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
- Sales experience
- Ability to sell Tranco National services to new customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft Office computer skills
- Ability to make outbound telemarketing calls
- Ability to stay current with the Company’s KPIs
- Strong negotiation skills
- Transportation brokerage experience a plus
- Freight brokerage or transportation experience a plus
