Full description of the position

Territory:

Eastern South Dakota, Eastern North Dakota, Western Minnesota

Responsibilities:

· Present product information to customers, including features, benefits, and new product offerings.

· Provide samples and/or demonstrations as requested.

· Maintain client libraries with the most current and applicable products for that firm.

· Advise architect/design professionals and owners on products and systems to be incorporated into projects.

· Determine the correct use of a product or system.

· Promote a product for its intended purpose.

· Build relationships with architects and design firms with the specified market.

· Suggest alternates to specified products or competitors’ products as requested.

· Provide design community with specification documents, budgetary pricing, and sample delivers as necessary.

· Keep records of all materials in customer libraries (binders, samples, etc).

· Schedule and make presentations with supplier factory representatives when requested.

· Actively participate in local chapters of trade associations (i.e. AIA, SDID, NDID).

· Document, track and follow through all known project specifications from initial spec to order completion.

Qualifications:

· Must demonstrate sales skills in a high-end, fast-paced, goal oriented, sales environment.

· Must be able to communicate effectively both verbal and written.

· Ability to seek out new clients by attending industry events and functions.

· Sales experience in industry recommended (architectural, design, or construction).

· Comfortable working independently

· Ability to manage multiple projects.

· Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance

· Adequate and dependable transportation for daily travel to and from customer site

· Must be able to transport company product in personal vehicle.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
