Community Liaison

Description:

Stepping Stone is an Outpatient Behavioral Health program uniquely catered to meet the needs of Skilled Nursing or Post-Acute Care patients leaving the hospital environment. Stepping Stone acts as a bridge for patients to sustain clinical engagement while they transition from the hospital environment to short or long-term care. Stepping Stone is the only program of its kind in the state of Ohio, which brings the clinical services for addiction and substance use disorder treatment into the Skilled Nursing environment. Our program is growing exponentially and we are seeking motivated candidates interested in joining our Development team.

The Community Liaison is an essential member of Stepping Stone’s team and reports directly to the Director of Business Development. This position acts as liaison between Stepping Stone’s participating Skilled Nursing Facilities and the healthcare professionals in the community.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing relationships and generating referrals with professionals in the community including but not limited to hospital case management and social work staff, hospital emergency room staff, specialty hospital staff, physicians, therapists, skilled nursing facility administration and admissions teams, LTAC’s, Rehabilitative hospitals, Behavioral Health Hospitals, area sober living providers, local addiction treatment programs, and other healthcare and human service providers. The candidate will also be responsible for creating and working from a strategic plan, planning and attending programs and events, assisting the Director of Business Development in positioning Stepping Stone’s products and services favorably in the healthcare market. Our community liaison will use Stepping Stone’s service line to leverage value propositions with existing and new referral relationships, and assist in the growth of the program holistically within the assigned territory. Candidate must uphold the organization’s ethics, professional and customer service standards.

The ideal candidate for the Liaison role will have pre-existing contacts within the behavioral health and addiction healthcare marketplace in which they will be working. Additionally, this candidate will have experience working with hospital staff and managing referrals from hospital case management and social work staff. Preferably, this candidate will have a network of hospital contacts who work closely with patients with Addiction and Dual-Diagnosed backgrounds and aftercare needs.

Education/ Qualifications

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a behavioral health area, communications, marketing, business administration, or related field required

· CDCA I or II Licensure through State of Ohio

· Strong customer relations skills and passion for substance abuse treatment/ behavioral health treatment

· Excellent organizational, interpersonal, presentation and listening skills.

Knowledge/ Experience

· A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in sales with measurable and proven results, or; minimum of three (3) years’ experience in addiction treatment and/or behavioral health community outreach, marketing or business development

· Established relationships with hospital case management/ social work department(s) staff, ER staff, doctors, therapists, community organizations, etc.

· Knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment issues is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29,231.92 - $45,000.00 per year
