Sale Associate Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist do-it-yourself homeowners, contractors and customers with finding products to fit their needs and project requirements.
• Embody our legendary customer service qualities and ensures customers have a positive experience while in the store.
• Act as a subject matter expert for all areas of hardware and home improvement, with particular emphasis on the assigned department.
• Stock and maintain product inventory on the sales floor and in the back rooms, utilizing technology and software to track inventory levels, product inquiries, and customer look up's.

Cashier / Customer Service Roles and Responsibilities:

• Smile and make all customers feel welcome by using customer’s name and/or a friendly verbal greeting.
• Respond quickly and graciously to customer needs and requests such as price checks or carry-outs.
• Thoroughly understand and proficiently process all POS procedures including gift cards, bank cards, coupon redemption (manufacture and in store), check payments, ROA’s and special orders.
• Efficiently handle phone calls, pages over PA system and able to monitor calls placed on hold.
• Respect the customer’s time by offering to take messages or transfer to voice mail instead of placing a call on hold. Offer to make keys while customer shops.
• Monitor shopping carts and basket levels to ensure they are easily available for customer convenience.
• Follow all procedures related to key cutting.
• Thank the customer for shopping with us and give them the feeling we appreciate their business.

Warehouse Associate Responsibilities:

• Quickly and professionally respond to and load customer pick up requests.
• Carefully fill and cut the required products for our customers i.e. propane, kerosene, pipe, steel, etc.
• Carefully and accurately unload and sign for incoming freight noting and reporting any shortages to department manager.
• Operate safely and according to procedures, all equipment i.e., forklift, wave, aerial vehicle lift, band saw, pipe machine and any other equipment you may come in contact .
• If authorized, quickly and accurately make deliveries per instructions.
• Neatly put away merchandise in the warehouse. Keep isle ways and conveyor clear of merchandise.
• Observe all closing procedures including cleaning and sweeping warehouse area.
• Have a full understanding of the computer procedures that are required to process incoming orders and special orders.
• Understand how to operate and use our special order system to accommodate our customers needs and requests.
• Understand all defective goods process and procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
